Professional Certificate

Applicants have the option to take courses to obtain certificate as a non-degree-seeking student if pursuing a degree does not align with your goals. Students learn the foundations of data science and develop hands-on skills using the tools, languages, and libraries used by professional data scientists.

Anyone with a passion for learning can take this Professional Certificate. There is no prior knowledge of computer science or programming languages required.  We help you to develop the skills, tools, and portfolio to have a competitive edge in the job market as an entry level data scientist.

There are three modes of course delivery, in-person, online synchronous and online asynchronous. You will learn from the best lecturers in the field of data science who will incorporate realistic and practical projects in your studies that you have or will encounter as a professional.

You need to pass all the following 4 courses in order to obtain your “Data Science Certificate”. However you will receive a certificate for each course separately. There is no time limit for completing the 6 courses and you can complete it at your pace.

I have more than 25 years of experience in data science, machine learning and artificial intelligence and designed, developed and deployed many business and scientific applications of predictive modeling. I am the founder of Bioada (www.bioada.com) and the inventor of Real Time Learning Machine (RTLM). I have been an associate professor of professional practice at Rutgers University, Department of Computer Science (2018-2022) and an adjunct professor at University of Toronto, Department of Chemical Engineering (2001-2017).

Senior Product Manager

I have extensive experience in Amazon AWS, Redshift, Tableau, SQL Server, and MapReduce especially in the field of advertising, financial, and stock market data products. I managed the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch, for a line of enterprise software products in an IT company and lead cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and marketing, to ensure successful product delivery.

Predrag Raković

Information Technology Expert

Predrag is a visionary leader and a digital transformation strategist, who has extensive experience in IT project management, ICT consulting, software system architecture design and development, and public procurement. Predrag has become a seasoned expert in the field of digital transformation, also boasts a proven track record as a lecturer and scientific researcher at the University of Donja Gorica, Faculty of Information Technologies, and Electrotechnical Faculty of the University of Montenegro. Predrag’s passion for innovative outside-the-box thinking and goal-oriented approach has earned them recognition in the industry. He has received the Young Innovator Award from the Chamber of Commerce Republic of Serbia in 2008 and the Best Student Award from the Electrotechnical Faculty in 2001. Predrag is fluent in English, Serbian-Bosnian-Croatian, Macedonian, Italian, and French.
